 The “Bed & Breakfast A Casa di Lia – Home in Rome” features 2 charming queen-size bed double bedrooms, also double single-use, with the possibility of adding an extra bed, each with private ensuite bathroom, free internet wireless connection, TV, hair-drier, electric fans in summer and central heating in winter, and a breakfast room with refrigerator and free internet point.
The view is over the trees of the gardens of a wide open quiet courtyard, and over the roofs and the terraces of Rome.
The B&B is in an attic (at the 5th floor with elevator) in a restored years 20s Roman house, inside a residential private complex by the river Tiber, with a park with high trees and gardens, safe and peaceful, without the noise of the traffic: Villa Riccio, a real oasis in the busy centre of Rome.
From the typical Roman roof terrace (for hanging the laundry) overlooking Rome skyline, there is a 360° view over the roofs and terraces of Rome, the pine trees of Villa Borghese, Quirinale hill, the “type-writing machine” monument, Gianicolo hill, St.Peter’s Dome, and Monte Mario natural park with the Astronomic Observatory and the restaurant bar “Lo Zodiaco”.
The B&B is separated from the penthouse where Lia lives with her family and pets: so that you can keep your own privacy and feel “at home”. The athmosphere is artistic. The environment is safe.
Guests will get the information needed to ensure they will enjoy their Roman Holidays. Lia speaks Italian, English and some Spanish and French.
There is no problem of allergy as Lia’s pets live outside in the terrace. Guests may meet Gordon and Indy when they go out for a walk.

Guests can enjoy a carbonara or a pizza with a glass of wine or a fresh beer in the local excellent restaurants and pizzerias: La Romanina, La Pizzeria del Vignola, Il Tiepolo, Kilmoon Pub, La Friseria, Perilli, L’Officina dei Sapori, Pizzeria Il Buchetto, Caffè Stella Ruschena, Gelatomania; at Ponte Milvio there is the typical Trattoria Pallotta and a lot of trendy pubs of Rome by night. Recommended restaurants in the historic center: Ristorante Matricianella, behind the Parliament, Pizzeria La Montecarlo, between Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori, Ristorante Alberto Ciarla and Taverna De’ Mercanti, in Trastevere. Every Friday there is a crowded market like a little Portaportese in the Olympic Village. There are also antiques markets in via Flaminia and a covered fruit market.

By underground from Piazzale Flaminio-Piazza del Popolo you can easily reach St.Peter’s and the Vatican Museums, Termini Railways Station and the Colosseum.
In close proximity are: MAXXI, the Etruscan Museum, the National Gallery of Modern Art, Borghese Gallery and the Zoo.
