Bed & Breakfast in Rome: Ancient Romance (b & b star)

 The idea that gives life to our project consists in conciliating the luxury elegance of the style with a warm familiar hospitality enriched with all comforts and attentions typical of a four stars hotel. This is the reason why we realised three different rooms each developing a specific literary and artistic theme. Each private bath is conceived in relation to the room style.
Camera Trilussa: the room is inspired by the 19th century famous roman poet. Its style represents the historical and social way of life of the early fifties roman middle class. The tuff walls, the baldachin and the artistic representations will bring you back to the eternal city described by D'Annunzio: sumptuous and rich of contrasts.
Camera La dolce vita: the room is inspired by the 1960 famous film directed by Federico Fellini, with Anita Ekberg and Marcello Mastroianni. Its furniture respects the white and black photographic contrasts that sublime the poetry of the "fellinian" cinematographic image. You will suddenly be immersed in the roman essence of the big Italian economic boom.
Camera La Divina Commedia: the room draws inspiration by the masterpiece of the Italian literary tradition. The absolute uniqueness of Dante Alighieri's artistic genius is celebrated through a furniture style that will live you without words, bringing you back to the 14th century. You will appreciate the typical colours and suggestions of the early Middle Ages.
The Reception will welcome you with the pleasant sound of jazz music and the sober vivacity of the furniture which will make you feel like at home.
Location
Ancient Romance is a bed and breakfast located in the wonderful historical and artistic area of the Vatican City, in the hearth of ancient Rome. It is just 50 metres far from San Pietro Square and the Vatican Museums. Our B&B has just been renovated and it is situated in a splendid late 19th century building, in via Ottaviano, on a quiet pedestrian precinct.
How to reach us
By train:
From Termini railway station by underground: line A (red), direction Battistini, get off at Ottaviano/ San Pietro station (5 stops, 8 minutes). Our B&B, located in via Ottaviano 9, is at only 100 metres far on foot from the underground exit.
From Termini by bus:
get the n. 64 and get off in Risorgimento square. Via Ottaviano is the street opposite the Vatican walls.
By airplane:
Both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports are well connected to Termini station by trains and shuttles. Once you get to the station, follow the instruction above.
By car:
From the north: Roma Nord exit, take Tangenziale Est and straight on following San Pietro direction. Go on in viale Angelico until the junction with viale Giulio Cesare, then turn left, then the first on the right until the junction with via Crescenzio. Turn right until piazza Risorgimento. Via Ottaviano is the first street on the right. The number 9 is the first building on the left.
From the south: Roma Est exit, then follow the instructions above.
The "Ancient Romance" B&B can offer on demand a relaxing trip by car giving the chance to book a car with a private driver for the special price of 45 ? (one way) until a maximum of 4 people with luggage. The minivan, for a maximum of 6 people with luggage, is offered for 65 euro.

The stay must be paid cash.
Booking warranty:
1. We accept credit card extrems (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, CartaSì) whose validity will be checked without withdrawing anything;
2. Credit transfer for the amount of the first night.
N.B. Your reservation can be cancelled three days before your arrival, otherwise your credit transfer deposit will be kept or the amount of the first night will be withdrawn from you credit card. |
