Campo Marzio is an ancient district of Rome, where you can see the highest number of monuments. During the past it was the most populated area of Rome, it was a large, open area, used as a training ground for Rome's soldiers. Today, Campo Marzio is the residential and business center of Rome. Walking through this district you will see a lot of monumental places: Saint Maria sopra Minerva (gothic church), the Pantheon, the famous Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo. Very close to the Pincio Hill, famous garden of Rome, where the noble Borghese (Villa Borghese) family built the beautiful Palazzo Borghese. The ancient district also includes the famous Piazza di Spagna and three beautiful streets: via del Babuino via di Ripetta and via de Corso. Like the other districts "Rioni", also Campo Marzio is well connected to the rest of the eternal city, here you can find a lot of restaurants and some shopping center.
